Arriving at 1904 on Wed 15 Feb, I waited until 1925 before leaving. During that time no one approached me to take my order although there were numerous staff strolling around. As soon as I made eye contact the person turned away. How do they hope to stay in business ?.[Report for Removal] Dennis Grant

Very mediocre pub food. You're Ok if you stick to scampi and chips. The lovely Sunday lunches have been lost since it was refurbished as has the "oldy worldy" character. You seem to wait ages for service and then ages for the food. Be careful if you have the crumble ours came with the cling film left in it!!!!!! xxxxxxxx[Report for Removal] Helen Bowden

We arrived at 5.50pm on what looked like a quiet Friday evening. Our order for starter and mains was taken promptly at about 6.00pm. Drinks were also ordered and came about 10 minutes later. Then we sat and sat .... and sat! Others came in and placed their orders. At 6.25pm the waitress came and said the chef had misplaced our order slip but our starter would be with us in a few minutes. About five minutes later, the table next to ours who had ordered about 15 minutes after us were brought their main course. I called the manageress over and explained that we were very annoyed and she disappeared to find our starter which came immediately. We never saw her again after that, no apology, no offer of any sort of recompense (a free glass of wine, no charge for the starter possibly?) We decided to cut our losses and cancelled the main course. Needless to say we will not be returning. [Report for Removal] Bryan Biggin

We have continued to use the Irish Harp on Saturdays evenings as the food is very good, but I am afraid the service is leaving a lot to be desired. The waitresses dont appear to listen to your order and you have to chase around the pub for attention. It is such a shame because it was excellent when it reopened but I feel the honeymoon is over. Please take note..[Report for Removal] June Salt

We have had many good meals here, but lately if you go at about 5.45 which is our usual time, we do not like to eat late, we are always asked to wait for half an hour. This has made us think twice, although we have booked for Christmas Eve. The food and service have been very good up to now. I hope it is not going to change.[Report for Removal] June Salt

On a quiet mid-week lunchtime we had to wait for an hour for our basic meals to be served. The food was of the poorest quality and not edible. I would have liked to complain, but there was no staff to be found. We gave up, never to return.[Report for Removal] Keith Pittaway

I've had three meals there, with different company, since the start of 2006 and the food has been good, it has been hot, and the service has been very good. I''ve recommended it to a workmate and they said it was good too. long may it continue[Report for Removal] Owen Glendower
