| Stopped off at the Pheasant during a whistle stop tour of the area served by the new Manx2.com flights IOM-GLO. Was pleasantly surprised with the Pheasant and its owners were very accomodating and welcoming. They have some good regional bevi here and just a pity that I didn't stay for a meal as I never got round to it that day. | Long time since I have been in the Pheasant but was very pleasantly surprised when I recently visited. The food is a lot better and so is the function room and Dining room. The bar still has that drab paint and 1960's fans on the celing though. Shame the new landlord seems a nice enough chap and they are trying. Dont recommend eating anything whith fried onions or mushrooms, bit greasy & the mushrooms were old. My mum & dad had a look at the rooms they offer. Nice clean rooms and nicely decorated. | Going in the rear entrance is a bit daunting, well bleak really. Tiled floors and blank walls but once inside its quite welcoming. Found out its under new managment why they dont advertise this fact is beyond me! Worth trying, but I do wish they would brighten the place up a bit. As for the function room its worth missing!
