| We visited the pub last night - out of this world. The food was stunning. Its been a very long time since i have ordered a steak and its been cooked exactly how i've requested it - very rare but not blue. The atmosphere is so welcoming. Strange memorabilia surrounding the bar - it grows on you. I was recommended a delightful red wine by the owners son and it was spot on. A little gem. | We have eaten at the Fiddle regularly for over 5 years. The food is excellent, reasonable priced. The beers are wonderful, the wines always excellent and well chosen. The atmosphere is wuirky with Vera Lynn singing and war-time music. I keep thinking the model at the bar is a lovely lady but at my age that's excusable! Recommended always to others. | The Fiddle is a little gem of a pub with home made food and up to four real ales. It is full of bric a brac and resembles an antique shop with a bar. Try and find the chesterfields under the books and stuffed animals! The pub is a 15 min walk from Earlestown Station using the Sankey Valley trail,(use Google earth to find the trail,it involves walking the tow path then right through a field along a fenced off track, a narrow bridge over a brook then left onto Hall lane, Pub at T junction Alder road. The pub is popular with cyclists and walkers. You can cycle all the way to Widnes from here, just follow the Sankey Valley Trail opposite the pub down old Alder road.[Report for Removal] | D W jones Whiston merseyside |
