| Generally this is a good place for good food, but they are a victim of their own success. They are nearly always packed out and you can't book a table if you are less than 8 people. The biggest problem is if you are a group of 6 or 7 as there are so few places you can actually seat this number. We ended up having to squash like sardines round a table for 4, moving everyone twice before finally finding a suitable table. It was very stressful, being able to book would take this stress away. Other times we have just had to walk back out and go somewhere else, but when people have driven from all directions to meet there this isn't always possible. In short - if there are more than 4 of you DON'T BOTHER. But worse than that last time we ate there my husband NEVER GOT HIS MEAL AT ALL. All our meals arrived and 5 mins went by so he went to check. They checked the order, apologised and went to chase it up. But it still never arrived, we finished our meals (which took a while as we were all eating very slowing hoping that we'd still have some food on our plates when his arrived) and my husband had to tell them not to bother! It ruined the meal for all of us - it's difficult to enjoy your own food when someone is sat waiting and waiting. Also, a word of warning for vegetarians. I have found chicken in the green vegetable curry there, which does make you wonder about the processes in the kitchen.[Report for Removal] | Walter Smith Great Broughton North Yorkshire |
