| The famous globe has just been taken over by a new bunch of people - who are really friendly and nice. Thankfully they have cleened the place up, given it a lick of paint, and changed the back bar. The food is really nice, and really reasonable priced, i had a huge steak and ale pie with pots and veg and paid £6-95 i didnt eat all but i did have some homemade dessert which was to die for. they do all sorts of things in the week and have bands on weekends, the juke box is amazin so many songs that i havent heard for ages! The only down side is the seating keeps getting moved, the sofa should be moved back in the glass hole. well recommanded i be back - with my friends thanks guys!!! | I would strongly advise against bothering to eat here, our long awaited lunch came and one of our group of three was given a sandwhich made with half frozen bread, the second of our group was given a sardine dish, which was different to what had been described on the menu - after sending back the sandwhich and asking to talk to the manager we were greated by a very sarcastic and patronsising manager/landlord who did nothing to difuse the situation only to add fuel to the fire by offering us a pound out of his pocket and stating thats all we could have back. Needless to say he kept his pound and we will not be returning to the place, due to such poor management and standards - thouroughly dissapointing experience!!!!![Report for Removal] | Kerry Bishara St Ives Cornwall |
