| My partner and I came for a meal after having visited your inviting and welcoming website. The reality couldent have been further then this. The service was diabolical which was matched by appauling food. At least 30% overpriced. I would never give the Globe a reccomendation to anyone. | What a find!! Tucked away in a backwater of Rye is The Globe. When you enter the plush and comfy bar/restaurant you are immediately transported back to the 1940s by the decor, the music and the staff uniforms. The food is remarkable but not surprising really when you realise that Aidan, the chef/owner has had a Michelin star in a previous incarnation. This really is a one off and deserves huge success. We were staggered by the food which competes with and possibly surpasses the best that London can offer and I include Aikens and Ramsay in that. Oh and it's half London prices, so you can go twice!!
