| WOW What A View - totally breathtakingly panoramic - I've been going to the Barley Mow for a while now and I have not tired of it yet. And what beautiful gardens to sit in and admire it from. Warm welcome from the bar staff - always a smiley Hello and helpful and polite too - For Good Food you can't beat a Carvery, I say, Choice of 3 meats, Loads of veg and lashings of gravy, Aaarrrr... And dont even think of walking away without a pudding, thats if you can walk away - these are the puddings we have been searching for since having left home and Mum's Sunday Lunch. Thanks Richard and Andree - What a lovely place you have. [Report for Removal] | Kim Heathfield East Sussex |

| further to the comments posted by Mr D B Prentice on 28.2.09, it saddens us that we feel obliged to respond to such short sighted and negative comments. It is no secret that pubs the width and breadth of our country are closing at an alarming rate on a weekly basis, and so as to avoid being yet another of these statistics, we have found it necessary to try to diversify by way of trying to become more of a restaurant by having a carvery. Since taking the decision to become carvery we have been more than happy to honour any bookings that were taken and secured by a monetary deposit. The booking that this Mr Prentice speaks of was never confirmed, and certainly no deposit was paid in order to secure it, and given the enquiry was made several months ago there has been plenty of time for one of them to come along and pay some money to secure it. The fact that they sent out invitations, was foolhardy on their part. He was told in January that we were changing to carvery and we even gave him an alternative pub that they might like to have their party should the carvery idea not be to their liking.[Report for Removal] | a collen heathfield east sussex |

| Arranged family group meal for 20+ under 4 weeks ago, for June, as surprise for wife. Invitations prepared, but on calling in for promised menus to send out staggered to find its turning into a carvery! Lots of them around and maybe it will work? But no courtsey phone call just left high and dry - not at all impressed. Lovely view from resturant and tasty meals of the past led us to this place. Now belatedly we search for somewhere else![Report for Removal] | D B Prentice Uckfield E Sussex |

| Pubs seem to care less about the quality of beers these days than the quantity they can sell. Richard has done a great job of keeping beers to the highest quality and making the Barley Mow a gereat place for an evening drink. If you like Harvey's, this has to be one of the very best places to enjoy a pint of our local beer. At Christmas we came in and had a great meal with a number of friends from teh viallge. At last, quality and price that made a visit well worthwhile. What more can I say - the village pub is up and running again, well managed and friendly. Visitor or local you will enjoy your self. See you on Mondays in the lower bar! Or else when I can make it,[Report for Removal] | Malcolm Melville Punnetts Town East Sussex |

| I am sorry about my husband, he has been very out of sorts recently. I think he is a bit grumpy because the new owners dismissed the previous managers because they refused to serve our 13 year old daughter - I think this is what he meant when he said "a mixed age crowd". I visited recently and Richard and Andree are really strting to get the pub back on its feet with the help of their new and talented chef, CHris Darville. Where else in Sussex can you get a three course a la carte meal all hand prepared using locally sourced ingredients for £13? Top pub - one to watch out for in 2007!! Keep up the good work[Report for Removal] | Mrs Smith Heathfield E Sussex |

| this recently reopened pub would have had a good review if the pair of dorks who own it hadnt just sacked the managers two weeks before christmas, it was a fun place to be with a mixed age group of customers, reasonably priced food and always something going on, now it is back to its dead days with the owner and his sour faced wife dishing up still frozen food despite getting a new chef, the owners should have stayed away and let the managers manage the pub, RIP Barley Mow[Report for Removal] | john smith punnetts town east sussex |
