| we have been going out with friends weekly to all different pubs in all areas and we all agree that the food and drink are faultless on a thursday evening a starter main meal and a glass of wine is £7.50 if you dont want a starter you can chose a sweet with four different meals to chose from we think it is a bargain the staff are excellent and the landlord Steve and his wife Pam are friendly without being gushing [Report for Removal] | ken Evans west kjingsdown kent |

| Oh dear! Mr Pilkington does seem somewhat upset! From my experience as a regular user of the Kings Arms I find it, on the whole to be somewhat different to Mr Pilkington's view. It serves good value pub grub and there is always a decent pint of real ale available, usually Harveys or Bombadier. Yobby types? If that means chaps who enjoy a pint or two after work then yes they do frequent the pub. Or maybe we are all yobs who use the pub. A grossly unfair review by someone who obviously has 'issues' with the place. The landlord and landlady both work extremely hard and seem to be maintaining a steady business despite the economic climate. It would be so much better if people who actually use the pub would comment. Very sad Mr Pilkington, very sad. I would say, give it a try[Report for Removal] | Micheal Joseph Shoreham Kent |

| Food really not good - and only scores 1 out of 5 for food hygiene...that says it all! Landlord very unwelcoming....pub seems to attract yobby types, Steer clear if you want good food in a welcoming environment. Pubs like this need to remember that especially in the recession, we want more than this. They need to make a real effort to survive[Report for Removal] | David Pilkington Shoreham Kent |

| We visited the Kings Arms two years ago (June 2007) on a Wednesday lunchtime and found the pub full to bursting. The bar staff were friendly and a delicious range of food offered. We visited again last Friday lunchtime (26th June) and found the pub almost deserted. I ordered a steak burger and chips but was very disappointed with the burger as it tasted unpleasant and cheap. I took my unfinished meal over to the bar to explain I was unhappy with it and the staff were very hostile which was surprising and unnecessary as I was very polite about it and felt it was only fair to complain if I was unhappy. My husband had a cheese ploughmans which he thought was very small for the price charged. Note: none of the staff came over afterwards to check later if I was still unhappy. In summary (in my opinion) - poor food and service and disappointing compared to our previous visit. [Report for Removal] | T Shaw Orpington Kent |
