| we visited the Malt Shovel inn for Sunday Lunch and it was exellent carvery was outstanding service was quick and staff reely friendly manager and manageress were very nice and helpful and we will go again wthout any hesitation perfect setting and real good service.[Report for Removal] | barbara geary torquay devon |

| I understand the pub has recently changed hands and the experience we had certainly doesnt tally with the previous reviews. I visited this with my fiance on holiday. The staff were excellent and the place was packed every night. The first night we both had a carvery meal which gave a huge choice of accompanyments with pork and/or beef of the best quality. We had a few meals here and all were top quality and were homemade. The beer choice was good and they serve local strong cider on tap. The place had a great atmosphere and I would recommend it for an enjoyable evening out chatting with friends or a top quality meal. [Report for Removal] | Liz Sittingbourne Kent |

| We had a dreadful experience last Saturday night. The food was very avergae in some parts and down right awful in others (the canoloni was inedibale), the service was poor and argumentative (main course arrived within seconds of the starters being hurridly removed - I queried this and was told "well, they were ready") and when I very politely said how disappinted I was overall, the owner told me that "it's always the holidaymakers that complain".
