| Wow!!!! what a gem of a pub nestled in the beautiful Shropshire/ Hereford border. We were recomended this pub by the landlady of the B&B we were staying in and I know why. From the moment we walked in the ambiance was warm and welcoming, we were amazed at all the cask ales that The Boot had sold in the past (aparently they change there beers at least once a week. A cask beer lovers haeven) I Chose a Darwins Origin and my wife had a Witches Rocket (I was very impressed that all the beers they sell come from within 20 mile radius v.rare). Our waiter (which turned out to be the landlord Jon smashing bloke)took our order after realling off the specials, I was spoilt for choice but chose Pan fried Mortimer Forest Pheasant on a local Nut Risotto, my wife had Saabass Roulade. Both dishes came quickly and were hot, the pheasant was the best I think I have ever had and judging by the Umms and ahhs I think the same could be said about my wifes Roulade. We chose for desert a Chocolate Puddle Pudding and Tiramisu both were out of this world and the best part was that includind a bottle of Shiraz the whole meal came only to £50 with a generous tip included. Keep up the good work and I will be back again and again. Thanks again to Jon and Jane (the chef)[Report for Removal] | Jonathan Milburry Hereford Herefordshire |
