| We visited the Rising Sun on Sunday 15th June 2008. We had visited before when the pub was under a previous management and the service was shocking. However under new management things have really changed. When I eat out I generally have a pasta dish be it Chill, Lasagne or some kind of pasta. Last nite I had the spaghetti carbonara and it genuinely was the best carbonara I have ever had. It was on the specials which is a shame as I would visit weekly for this. I was unable to finish my plate and was disappointed as it was so lovely. I mentioned that I wished I could take it home and the waitress took my plate and bagged up the leftovers for me to consume at a later date. I'll tell you now that will be tonight. The people I was with had cajan chicken and a couple of roasts and all had a fab meal. I cannot recommend this pub enough. The waitress was cheery even though busy and the bar lady, Sally herself i believe, could not do enough although you were left to enjoy your meal without being bothered. I highly recommend this pub. It is just fantastic! [Report for Removal] | Tracey Lowe Shaftesbury Dorset |
