| This is a great 18th century country pub situated in historic Elmton. It has a large beer garden that has facilities for children, like a swing and treehouse with a slide. This pub has recently been taken over by a lovely & friendly young couple Chris & Jean Norfolk and the atmosphere and food here is fantastic with sweets to die for. | I do not know how people can write such bad things about a very nice country type pub the food is cooked fresh daily always presented nice the staff is always polite and chatty. We have had quite alot of meals and enjoyed every one at the elm tree inn &barn owl reataurant at elmton, also i know that the kitchen eqipment is new and kept spotless and i will carry on going for meals & would recamend anyone. they also have a good selection of beer & wines. ang longtime costumer.[Report for Removal] | angie hollingworth langwith mansfield nottinghamshire |

| Absoloutely disgusting place. i worked there for a while and the treatment you recieve is absolutely disgusting. The manager in particular cruelly bullies and intimidates staff and customers alike and its obvious to see why they have lost so much business comapred to the last, lovely couple who owned it before. the kitchen was in a state of disrepair and caked in grease and dirt, the meals were badly made with no attention to health and safety and many laws are broken within it concerning food hygiene. im surprised it hasn't been closed down and personally i herald that day.
