| Beautiful location and marvellous setting. Pity about the poor service, expensive food and small portions. Went here for Sunday lunch recently, 4 roasts, 4 desserts, 2 pints lager shandy, a ginger ale, a small house red wine, cappuccino and regular coffee came to £67.50......very much over the top! | Sunday 21st January I had lunch with my family in the pub. We were put in the back room which was very cold and had zero atmosphere. When we spoke to the Manager to ask if the fire could be lit, he told us that it couldn't as it was a "logistical nightmare"! A match and logs usually does the trick - but nevermind. He then proceeded to be incredibly rude to my mother, who had asked for a jug of tap water, he asked if she wanted the water to be warm! An incredibly rude manager who obviously missed out on charm school, topped off with very average food and ambience - needless to say I will not be returning or suggesting anybody else does.[Report for Removal] | P Cole London London |
