| We took my mother to the Rock Inn on Mothers Day. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. My husband had leek and potato soup as a starter which had the consistency and flavour of wallpaper paste! His main course of battered fish fillet was pretty awful too. The batter was soggy and full of grease and the fish was a strange grey colour and tasteless. The peas were like bullets! We were told that this was one of their best sellers, heaven help us!! I had a jacket potato with 'home-made beef chilli' which I am sure was made up of mainly quorn by the texture and taste and a pile of very limp lettuce. The battered fish was nearly £9 and the jacket over £8 which we wouldn't have minded paying if the food had been of a good quality as it was we felt it was expensive and a complete rip-off.
