| This is an excellent pub with its own micro brewery which produces excellent beer. The atmosphere is great with stone floors, clever lighting and the log fire. | Such a shame that you are treated as second class citizens by the staff. The food is not great even though you pay a lot for it, you also have to put up with local inbreds effing and blinding in the bar area whilst trying to hold a conversation. Not somewhere we would recommend or be going back to. | I eat here regularly and the food and service are consistently very good. The staff are always polite and friendly and the menu is changed often. They do a really great Sunday roast option at lunchtime and always use loads of fresh local produce. The chef had experimented with an oat topping to his fish pie last night which was a bit dodgy, but we had to give him full marks for innovation!
