| We went to The Junction Inn on 27th November (2009) The Pub has a banner proclaiming "New Management". The Service was excellent, the food wholesome and hot and the beer well kept.. We know it hasn't always been this way but the new Managers are working hard to bring established and new customers back. And it's working well. We were warm, full and only a little lighter in the wallet. Great service, warm atmosphere and wonderful food. Try it again. We did and we'll be returning often. | Called at the Junction Inn for Sunday Lunch with 2 friends. Sat outside as it was a nice day. Ordered food which took around 10 mins to come. The starter comprised of around 10 mushrooms with some condensed soup poured over the top of them and then put in the microwave. The main meal which was Sirloin Steak came around 10 mins later, everything apart from the steak and salad had been cooked in the deep fat fryer including the full tomato. My friend is a vegetarian and ordered a goats cheese salad. (No Goats Cheese)so changed it to ordinary cheese after clearing it with my friend. Her salad comprised of a handful of salad what looked like it had been thrown on the plate with cheese grated over the top of it. My husband and other friend had the Gammon steak with cheese, this was a thick piEce of bacon covered in melted cheese. The chips had been fried that many times they looked like wood chips! During the meal, we were sunject to the locals cigarette breaks being puffed into our faces and the bad language that went with it. The waitress came and asked if we enjoyed our meal to which we said no and explained........she just said oh and walked off, no one else came and asked what the problem was. The pub was empty except for the local few at the bar and no wonder, the meal was appalling. Total cost of meal was £53.......Recommendation....DEFINATELY NOT![Report for Removal] | Jane Anderson Ramsbottom Lancashire |
