| we held an informal get together and meal for 30 friends and family to mark our 20th wedding anniversary, the food was beyond fault, a splendid supply of seasonal veg, and sevice to the table was quick, and without delay for any of the party. From the waiting on staff, through to bar staff, and our host Bruce who also waited on, we were short of nothing, after out meal we sat a further 3 hours in the bar area relaxing and chatting in a most convivial atmoshere. There are areas where our group was catered for and also little niches for a more imtimate dining experience. We were in residence from 1.30pm until 9pm, it was superb and it was well worth the money spent for such a great experience. Although not cheap when you first view the menu, this quality of the food and service justify the few extra pounds it costs to eat here when compared to some of the multi chain beverage and serveries where pre-prepared frozen and vac packed meals are conveyor belted out under "home made" claims. It was a real dining experience, the decor of the place adding to this with its "fishy" themes (although on this occasion we had the beef), it is not just a fish restaurant, the maritime decor carries through even into the bathroom facilities which are a work of craftmanship in style and ocean clean design.
