| If you like real ale ... this is the place to be. They've got a full line of Wylam ales and others too. Regular little beer festivals at different times of the year. If you like small pubs with plenty of atmosphere ... this is the one to visit. You don't have to take anyone with you cos someone is bound to strike up a conversation with you if you're that way inclined yourself. Dogs are welcome and some of the regular dogs take some beating ... look out for the spaniel in particular! They do the best home-grown pickled eggs in the North East ... trust me on this one and give them a go. A train stops right outside the pub!!!
