Popped in for an impromptu meal after hearing that the pub had new owners and had been refurbished in the last year. It was a quiet Monday night and the kitchen had been cleaned and closed, but they opened it back up just for the two of us and showed fantastic hospitality. More to the point the food was really good too! Thoroughly recommend it. We will be going back![Report for Removal] Helen

Refurbished and reopened in Feb 2010, now called the Lion@Wicken, very nice food, best steak I've had in a long time. Menu is loosley based mediterranean but they cater for all tastes. Sunday lunch times they do a sunday roast platter. GONE are the disgusting toilets, juke box, tv, and barbed wire. replaced with friendly helpful staff, lovely food, reasonably priced beer, and a nice atomsphere![Report for Removal] Terry

Toilets are disgusting, competition between juke box & TV can be annoying. Nice enough in the summer when you can sit out, but watch for the barbed wire in the Well !! [Report for Removal] Sarah
