We ate at the Anglers Arms Haverthwaite on 21st Aug 09 and found the experience extremeley disappointing. Starters were very small and bland. Main course of fish, chips & mushy peas a complete disaster. It was stodgy, bland and non descript. Didn't realise someone could make such a mess out of a traditional English dish!!! Avoid this establishment like the plague and head for the Farmers in Ulverston or The White Hart at Bouth, both offer excellent food, exceptional flavours and good value for money. We will never again return to the Anglers, we may as well have flushed our money down the nearest drain.[Report for Removal] Susan

We ate at the anglers arms and were very disappointed. The half a chicken was undercooked and the chips tasted like there were hours old. Even though the table was booked weeks previous, We were also told that we need to vacate the table in 90 minutes. We were also told that we were not allowed to feed our baby his specialist food. The menu didn't cover anything for his needs, so he had to go hungry.[Report for Removal] stephen richardson
