| Went to the Pheasant for Sunday dinner (roast beef), we were very disappointed, small portions with undercooked veg and three small dry pieces of beef and vastly over priced, when i went to pay the managers attitude was aggressive and rude, I will never recommend this place I will tell people never to eat there and I will certainly never return.[Report for Removal] | m joe liverpool merseyside |

| The decor and ambience at the Pheasant are very pleasing. Soft, inoffensive music and a modern backdrop. Unfortunately, the food and the staff do not match this quality. My friend and I were eventually greeted at the bar with a rather surly 'do you want a drink?' We explained that we would like a table for lunch and a drink please. A simple 'good afternoon' would have helped. For starters I had the pate with Rowan jelly. It was accommpanied with a lovely piece of bread, which was only toasted for some reason, on one side. My friend had the tempura prawns served with a chilli dipping sauce to which a little dessicated coconut had been added. He declared that they were'alright' More chilli sauce abounded on my main course which was described on the menu as 'sticky lemon and honey chicken' I doubt if the sauce had ever seen a hint of lemon, and not being a great fan of chilli, it did not deliver what it said on the packet. I had requested a baked potato instead of the accompanying chips. The potato had been baked, but I'm not sure when, certainly not that day. My friend's Pie of the Day was duly eaten without comment. Presumably, this was' alright' too. We were never shown the dessert menu or offered coffees. It's a pity the service and quality of the staff and food do not compliment the standard of the place. A visit from the manager or somebody who looked in charge to determine if everything was alright would have been appreciated too.[Report for Removal] | lynne bold liverpool merseyside |
