| The Angel is the sort of pub where all sorts of people can go for a quiet drink. Pubs like this are very few and far between in Surrey and London. The beer is good, the people are friendly and it has a real fire and a proper pub dog. Continually, people chance upon the Angel and say "What a nice pub!" Certainly, I once drove from Dorset to Surbiton, avoiding all motorways and main roads, and found Thames Ditton was the most attractive place. You can sit outside the Angel in summer with a pint of Young's and watch cricket being played on the green opposite.
