| We only went for dinner here so i can't comment on the accomodation. The place was nice enough, with comfortable seating and friendly staff. However, the food was at best average. My medallions of pork were tough, badly trimmed and covered in a thick gloopy sauce which appeared to be practiacally neat mustard. None of the rest of the party felt the need to comment favourably about the food - the venison was also tough. The "special" on the pudding menu was Eton mess and had been made with bought meringue nests, squirty cream (that went almost instantly flat) and some kind of processed strawberry syrup - all mixed together into a sort of sloppy mess. | I went to the Oatlands Chaser on Friday 5th September and I have to say I will never go again. I booked the table a week before for 8pm which I have to say was a busy night but they had plenty of staff on. There were 2 young Girls (both Blonde and dont have names) one of which said it was her first night but she seemed pretty settled for someone whos first night it apparently was, anyway when our food came out we were one salad short and when my Mum asked the waitress for it she just walked away and sat at her friends table which she did for most of the night. My food came out and I had ordered the steak with Beer mustard butter but the steak was so cold the butter did'nt melt so when I finally got the waitress's attention she laughed and took it away, I then waited for about 10 mins by which point everyone else had finished their meal and mine had returned and whilst eating the now very tough steak I noticed lots of bits of cling film frm were they had covered it whilst sticking it in the microwave so obviously I called the waitress over who took it away and didnt even apologise so I left very unhappy and very hungry.[Report for Removal] | Sarah Gregory Weybridge Surrey |
