| we went as a group of 4adults, 1 child, but ordered seperately but mentioned we were on the same table. starters arrived quite promptly, then after they were finished two meals arrived. expecting the others to follow two of us started ours. 30 minutes later there was no sgn of the meals even after being reassured they were coming. we spoke to a manager and he said they were just being cooked we mentioned we were not very happy about this as we had come out to eat together.after other meals arrived, about 15 minutes later two plates of veg were brought out to go with the meals.food was not hot and only one of us was reasonably satisfied. very nice staff.[Report for Removal] | holliday walton on thames surrey |

| I visited the Fairmile on 28th December 2008 (2 days after Christmas!) .. i took my mum there for a belated Christmas lunch as this is a local pub to her and the menu has a good choice. My main complaint about my visit on this day was that believe it or not it was actually still Christmas, or so you thought, until about 10 minutes of sitting down beside what was a reasonable yet unlit christmas tree. A waiter came along and removed the tree, lights and decorations in tow barely disconnect from the wall! then ripping down the decorations above the servery, leaving it half done between serving customers. Where was their christmas spirit! i thought Christmas lasted for 12 days either side! The food itself was good for portion sizing but although hot you could drink the veg through a straw! the nicest thing was paying the bill and going home, the only spirit at the fairmile was behind the bar!
