| We were staying nearby on holiday and used the Butchers Arms a couple of times for an evening meal and a drink after exploring the area during the day. We found the pub and the locals to be very friendly and welcoming. The meals, although quite basic, were substantial and very good value for money. The landlord, Dave, had only been there for four weeks, but you could already see, his intention is to encourage both locals and holidaymakers to use the pub as a popular meeting place with a quiz night and themed evenings like a halloween party coming up next month. We wish him and his staff the very best of luck, and have no hesitation in recommending a visit when you're in the vicinity. With thanks from Norma and Gerald.
