| June 2008 we toured the Hebrides (Hebridean Hopscotch Holidays ..outstanding value)stopping at Eriskay to have tea at the local community center plant sell and fund raiser for the local school.(students were serving). Picked up a map at the store which took us on a hike to the beach where a lot of the whiskey floated to when the SS Politician sank. After a fantastic hike which took us high above the Politician pub in the hills we ended up down on the beach and into the pub for a Pint of lager and a wee dram. An excellent pub , very friendly staff that shared stories of the area and pub and also showed us two original bottles of whiskey from the SS Politician that were found in the peat by a local. good selection of whisky..enjoyed Black Bottle...locals favorite..highly recommend the hike and then to the pub for a cool one.[Report for Removal] | Ron Alto White Rock British Columbia Canada |
