| Very disappointed with the food... Lovely pub and staff friendly and helpful - but they have obviously read the reviews with food coming out too quickly - ours took 40 or so minutes to arrive (which we were told would happen) and when it did - it was very disappointing. The special mackeral salad was measly and hardly any mackeral, Calves liver - tough and dry with the thickest and hardest bit of bacon on top - the other 4 meals ordered were of the same disappointing standard. | Beautiful pub and surroundings.....Do not eat here! we ordered and barely got to our table before food arrived...tell me how long should a curry and ribs take to cook? not two minutes certainly. My other half was presented with ribs swimming in water and oil, he sent it back for a roast dinner replacement and got chicken in a cream sauce!! my curry was mostly oil and just dreadful, the waitress will argue with you about this should you dare to complain and you wont be offered a refund..you will get better food at a truck stop...Terrible food terrible service.[Report for Removal] | rachael winchester hants |

| Nice surroundings and good selection of beers. Food however was extremley poor. Ordered Penne pasta with field mushrooms and grilled chicken. Came very quickly. Too quickly for chicken to be grilled!! What arrived was processed chicken supreme from a tin on pasta.Mentioned to waitress who tried to inform me it "was" grilled..I'm afriad not. Other friends had food, again very very average. Potentially lovely pub let down by sub standard food. For drinks only, worth a visit. [Report for Removal] | Rob Board Andover Hants |
