| 7 of us went recently for an evening meal.Pub was freezing and staff seemed unable to cope. There were only 4 other diners who arrived after us yet they were served first. Starters took 35mins to arrive and were disgusting, fish cake still frozen, prawn cocktail coated in sauce. Mains arrived 1 hr and 40 mins after ordering and the 7th member of our group had to wait a further 5 mins. Mushroom stroganoff consisted of tinned mushrooms in cream - husband was ill after eating only 1/4 of his meal. Everything was coated in grease, caught food poisoning from my chicken main and was ill for 48hrs. Toilets were disgusting. AVOID this place like the plague. | We had the misfortune to visit this pub last night for a meal.Should have cancelled the moment we sat under the mouldy garden umbrellas complemented by the plastic chairs full of mould.Garden benches fit only for the fire.Food disgusting, staff dismal, beer awful if your going to charge premium price for a premium lager at least serve it cold with a head in the right glass.How sad to see the demise of a once gem of a riverside pub.[Report for Removal] | Steve Tewkesbury Gloucester |
