| We enjoyed this one. A pub (bar?) where it is obvious a substantial amount of money has been spent on it and it shows. Excellent selection of lagers (but not alot of bitter selection) and also good wines. Not really a pub as such - more of a bar but well run and much needed in Enfield. Apparently there is a restaurant upstairs (cant comment as didnt go upstairs). Excellent place to take visitors/ friends / mother in law as it is a neutral bar. Was very busy when we were there. If you had to criticise it then the location is not ideal (it is opposite the bus turning circle in Enfield town centre). Also - small details - lights out in the gents and the coffee machine wasnt working when we first went in at lunchtime. Tends to veer towards the new money set at times with a 'who can shout loudest' competition and considerable guffawing going on at one point when we were there. That aside a quality bar easy to reach by train, bus or car. Well worth a visit if you want to escape mediocrity. [Report for Removal] | matthew enfield middlesex |
