| This pub is basic but atmospheric, with plenty of local character(s). There was no music when we were there at lunchtime, so conversations can be held without shouting. Food is minimal: the pies are very good (at £1.60) but that is all you get. Being quite a small establishment, this is a pub that will get busy and crowded very quickly at peak times. Seating is not plentiful. The bar staff were happy to provide a taste of the beer before purchase and seemed to welcome those who appreciate good beer. The selection on offer was varied enough to suit most tastes although I would have expected the prices to be lower, given that it is away from the centre and also more of a one-room bar than a pub (if you make that distinction). This is a Good Pub Guide main entry.[Report for Removal] | ESP Netherton West Midlands |
