| the masons and mariners is now under new owners and all i can say is come and see us in our new clean family orientated hotel where the food,rooms,and public areas are now of the highest standards. | I have recently stayed at the Mason and Mariners, the room was dirty and there was no kettle to make tea or coffee. I did ask for a kettle but did not get one. There was no breakfast in the morning there was a sign saying breakfast was severed at eight, when I knock on the landlords door (brett Charlton) he told me he was not serving breakfast because he had a heavy night, i.e. he had been drinking. He was very rude and aggressive towards me. I was not alone many other guest were also swore at, where children were present, when they asked for their breakfast. There was no breakfast for these children. There was also no hot water for myself and those guests who stayed the weekend including those who had children and so could not wash them. In all, I heard quite a few complains from other guest including one woman who had no curtains in her room. In all the service was very bad the pub accommodation is run down with wall paper peeling of walls and the bath rooms were very dirty.
