| I visited the Wellington Heifer between Christmas and New year for a meal (party of 4)we had already booked. I have to state the hospitality was ok, however the meal we had was very disapointing and the room we sat in was cold. I ordered a starter of Black Pudding and Haggis at £5.00 which was luke warm and the portion was adequate. My friend had to ask for a steak knife to go with his steak. We were not asked if we wanted any more drinks and the steak which my friend had and the haddock my wife had for main courses were accompanied by a "shared" portion of chips which was stingy to say tghe least. Also the accompanying vegatables were small portions. Overall the food was cooked and presented adequatly. I had a lamb curry (breast of lamb) which again was luke warm. I will not go back. Its a pity because we used to patronise the place a lot with the previous owners for Sunday Lunch. No we didnt complain at the time, he had a table for eight to deal with.
