| My husband and I went to the Danson Stable for the first time today for lunch at 12 noon. The food was delicious (the cauliflower superb) with large portions, very good variety with very reasonable prices. The waitress Debbie was a gem. I am disabled and found the toilet conven iently situated and clean. I cannpot understand some of the bad reviews. I shall certainly recommend it to my friends. | I went to the pub for lunch today with the wife and my daughter (nearly 2 years old). I'm afraid we were very disappointed. Once we ordered the food took around 40 Minutes to arrive, having to entertain a young child throughout! Once the food arrived we were so hungry we just had to eat, however I have the following comments on the food; 1.The burger stated that it came with ‘seasoned chips’ – they were plain, undercooked and cold 2.The scampi stated that it came with mixed leaf salad – a few lettuce leaves is not ‘mixed leaf salad’ 3.Scampi portion was too small for the price 4.The char-grilled burger was over done – all ‘char’ and no meat if you like! I’m sorry to say I will not be returning. Which is a shame as the venue is actually quite nice and close to nice children’s play area. I would suggest if you just want a drink then the place is fine, however if you are going for lunch, you may find yourself somewhat disappointed. [Report for Removal] | Graham Welling Kent |
