| Incr-edible!! After trying another local pub to find that they'd stopped doing food, we took a trip up the road and discovered this place. It had been taken over within the last month by a landlord and his family from Derbyshire. Very personable and the service was fantastic! But the food - all I can say is don't eat for at least a couple of days before coming here because, in the words of the landlady (who does all the cooking), the portions are - "Northern"! That's Southern for Massive! Even the garlic bread is dished up in half-loaves! How's about 2 portions of (large) garlic bread, steak and ale pie with (large) chips and salad, prawn cocktail (large!) and Lasagne (large) with more garlic bread... for £18 - and way too stuffed for dessert.
