| How nice to see the Duck on the pond back to a typical village pub... we ate there Saturday 23rd evening, great atmosphere, excellent service, we stop off there numerous times on our travels. The pie was to die for proper pastry!!! my wife had lamb shank, which she picked clean fell off the bone... wish them all the success, we shall be back in March[Report for Removal] | Richard Hartley Brighouse West Yorks |

| Half the daily menu was unavailable after 1.30pm as they were still awaiting delivery of supplies!!! (if a resturant runs out of gammon,lamb, frozen chips on a Wednesday, a major problem exists).Coupled with the fact that despite one customer not having finished his meal,the waiter on a couple of occassions tried to take his plate, their service was well below standard.I would not reccomend visiting the place - I certainly will not be. | Absolutely superb food, excellent and helpfull staff and friendly Landlord and Landlady (Andrew and Wendy) My wife and I have had a many a fabulous lunch and dimnner at the Duck on the Pond.
