| This is a pub that I always stop at for the night when passing on the canal. It is a popular mooring spot for a lot of serious boaters we know. I've called three times this year. Tonight, after a long hard days boating two of us on two historic boats headed for here from Shackerstone in Leicestershire. At about 9pm we found the pub was closing and the staff were being taken home. We were told that there were no customers in. There was no offer to open later for us and now we and many others will not be calling again in fear of a repeat experience. How very silly and not the way to run a business. Word of mouth recommendations will do the damage.[Report for Removal] | James Woolcock Burton on Trent Staffordshire |
