| I like the food and thought it was nice for the price UNTIL we went today all hungry armed with a nice jar of baby food for our 10 month old and they expected her to eat it cold YUK would u eat your dinner cold!! apparently because of health and saftey?? to who?? if its thier staff then put a food warmer out like the other resturants do saying use for baby food at your risk!!! it costs £4.99 from mothercare if its a risk to my baby well she is MY baby and if she gets burnt thats is MY fault!!!!! anyway we all left without eating and wont be going again if maddie cant eat hot food like the rest of us then we will not eat there!! disgraceful[Report for Removal] | jodie walsh herne bay kent |

| We have been to the Punch Tavern on many occasions, as have our friends, and we took a guest there only this afternoon. The only problems we have ever had are when we've had to queue for our food, and maybe had to wait for them to come and replace one of the meats. This has only happened once to us, and is simply a result of them having such a good reputation around here (for very good food, portions as large (or as small) as you want them, and at an extremely low price) that they sometimes just have more customers than they can cope with. They are victims of their own success! Our food has always been tasty, nicely cooked and plentiful, and the staff are always very pleasant, friendly and extremely helpful. We slipped up once, complaining about a dessert that hadn't arrived, and which was then brought to the table as quickly as possible; by which time we had realised that the fault was ours, and for some reason the order just hadn't been placed! Did the staff complain, as they might justifiably have done? No: they just laughed with us, and accepted our apologies, and we were left with no 'uncomfortableness'in the atmosphere, just good feeling all round. | this was our first visit, and i thought this was very good value for money. the only moan i have is the beef was very dry. it didnt get wasted as i took it home for my dog! i will be visiting there again in the near future. its a shame its an hours drive away, but well worth it.[Report for Removal] | mrs abbott sherness kent |

| Me and my family went to the punch tavern on valentines day as part of my mums "treat" the cavery was of a high standard and was very enjoyable, there was very good service and the dessert was most enjoyable. | Where do I start! Grrr Arrived at The Punch tavern at 2.30 p.m Monday 8th December 2008. The vegetables were cooked from frozen! Why on earth when fresh veg is easy to prepare and cook? The brussel sprouts were mushy, soft and chewy in the middle. The carrots were soft, limp and cold. The peas were dry, shrivelled and cold. The roast potatoes were just about hot enough to eat. A half full tray of oil soaked potatoes were left at the back on the same counter. The gammon joint was wet and tasted bland. Their roast beef joint looked very dry. It was tough according to guests who had just tried it. We avoided it and had the only decent meat there which was the large roast turkey. As we were about to leave we were asked by a young man who had served us 'how was our meal?' so we told him everything I have said here. As my friend and I left we heard another table also complaining. It might be a low priced all day carvery meal but in my mind it was a total waste money. | Visited the punch Tavern twice, once on a Thursday evening for a quiet evening meal with my partner, and again for a sunday lunch with the family, on BOTH occasions they had run out of food, (we were told we could have a microwave fish pie.) | Had a terrible experience tonight. Several people demanding to speak to the manager due to slow service / wrong food / missing items / main meals before starters. Many people simply leaving. | waited 25 minutes for our food when it arrived the pie pastry was so hard you could not eat it the carrots were cold and as for the mash potatoes uneatable and the vegatables were placed on top of the potatoes the staff did not know what to do when we complained and we had to ask for our money back will be be visiting again NO would not recommend to any one.
