| We dined at the Kings Head a few days ago and there is no way I would recommend the Fish Pie. Food was quite good apart from the Fish Pie which was awful, it didn't taste of anything except salt, there were just 2 small pieces of white fish and 2 prawns floating in a watery sauce it had no colour and the potatoe was lumpy. My idea of a good Fish Pie is an assortment of fish in a creamy white sauce topped with fluffy creamed mashed potatoe and a sprinkling of grated Cheese baked to a golden brown on the top, the Chef seriously needs to reveiw the recipe (has he ever tasted this pie). Apart from that the staff are friendly and we enjoyed beautiful desserts well worth the money as they were huge. We would go there again.[Report for Removal] | Teresa Cowan Ongar Essex |

| I have eaten about 6 times at this pub, and have taken many family members. We have all commented on how nice the food was, and it has always been served with a smile. Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff and we have commented at the time on how friendly they are. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The food was hot. I would recommend trying it. | Having recently moved to North Weald i thought it would be nice to take the family out for a evening meal at our local the kings head. Unfortunately i wished i had taken note of the awful reviews as they were totally right!!If you like a weatherspoons pub food then this place will be right up your street,only they will charge you over the odds for it.The food is bog standard and if you appreciate nice food then dont go there,i suppose its ok for a drink as you cant go wrong there!!Also the bar staff totally fine but if you like politeness and friendly staff dont go to the restaurant there obviously over worked and under paid and this shows!!!I hope this review was helpful[Report for Removal] | laura north weald essex |

| I cannot believe that the Kings Head has a terrible rating?? Where did that come from? In recent months the Kings Head has improved immeasurably. It's friendly and clean, the food is wonderful and since the installation of new chef the menu has been outstanding. I live just across the road from the Kings Head so believe me I know the quality and service deteriorated for a short time but the staff have always been friendly and helpful and at the moment with the recent refurbishment the whole place has taken on a great new atmosphere.
