| Booked for 6pm for reunion with friends and their children and when asked if we were ready to order at 10 mins past (after only just sitting down at our table) when we said we were not ready yet the waitress got into a bit of a strop and stomped off - we felt like naughty children. The waitress didn't come back for absolutely ages. After ordering, the food came quite quickly but was bland and tasteless. The main courses arrived far too soon following the starters and were awful again. How can anyone - even me - ruin a fillet steak. It was tough and burnt on one side, when asked if everything was ok, I said the steak was awful but got no apology or concesson off that meal. I got them to wrap the steak up and took it home for my dogs - they enjoyed it far more than I could have. Following our main meal we were asked if we wanted the sweet menu which we declined. We were about to ask for coffee for us all but they asked us to vacate our table as it had been booked for another group at 8pm and would we like to go into the lounge. We had toddlers with us so couldn't really sit in the public areas and there were no seats left anyway so we had to leave the place completely and couldn't sit and have an after dinner chat with our friends who we hadn't seen for 12 months. We will never go back again and certainly would not recommend the place to anyone. Poor food, poor service and rude landlady![Report for Removal] | Skippy Mold Flintshire |

| Our visit to the Pwllgwyn on Sunday 29 March 2009 was extremely disappointing. The roast beef and the Pork which was our choice on the day was very tough, dry and cold. The plates were cold. The vegetables were hard and undercooked and again cold when served. The meal was drowned in water thin gravy which made the whole affair a disaster. A total waste of money and unfortunatelty because we did not receive any concessions following our complaint, I CANNOT recomment the Pwllgwyn as a desirable eating place. I will however consider contacting Gordon Ramsey to see if he will consider your eating place on one of the future episodes of Kitchen Nightmares.
