| I go in the Horse & Jockey on a regular basis and I just don't recogise the character described as the rude and surly landlord or the abusive staff. The staff are really friendly. The beer is good and the food is standard pub grub - it's not cordon bleu but then the prices are reasonable as well. | The food is just about acceptable but the staff attitude appalling - customers allowed to wait for ages (over an hour is usual), and then you are only given rude and self justificating excuses. | I have been to the Horse and Jockey for several meals. Everytime it has been fantastic. Jon, the Landlord has always been really friendly. His food tastes home cooked and the Sunday lunch is the best i have eaten!!! I would recommend trying it, my husband was happy with the beer and the prices were fair.
