| The Hoops is located in the centre of Barton opposite the village green. There is a large garden with outside seating and lots of chickens. There is a good mix of friendly clientele from surrounding villages. The Hoops is only 3 miles from Cambridge and there is a cycle path all the way. Real Ale, Greene King I.P.A. on handpump and Abbott straight from the cask. Both in excellent condition. The Hoops relies solely on it's friendly atmosphere and good quality ale as there is no food served here. The Hoops thrives despite this. The Hoops supports two cribbage teams and five darts teams, two of them ladies teams. The local Greaves motorcycle club meets here monthly. In winter a log fire burns in the Inglenook fireplace and locals bring in chestnuts to roat on it.
