| the food was very plastic, nothing was very special and in honest the money i was paying i could have made better at home, i found the menu had limited choice and there was not even a vegetarian option which in this day and age is very rare. to improve things i recomend that they do home made chips and increase the portions as if your a big eater you will be disapointed[Report for Removal] | sarah heffernan carlisle cumbria |

| Even though we were a large party .Having arrived at Stone House for an evening meal, on a very busy Saturday. We were welcomed ,into a very warm and friendly atmosphere ,by an exceedingly hospitable owner and his Wife. We found the Staff friendly and very efficient. The food was excellent well prepared & presented. Service efficient courteous and professional Cost was average considering today’s prices Atmosphere exceedingly warm and friendly. | I would like to add my thoughts to this page. I recently went for a meal with a few friends to The Stone Inn and I cannot emphasise what a delight it was to find such a friendly cosy pub, with well kept beer, excellent service by the landlord/landlady and an extensive menu. The meals we chose were extremely well presented and incredibly tasty, and the puddings were without doubt the best I have ever had. The staff were all knowledgeable about the food and drink served and catered for our group very well. I highly recommend this pub for a great night out, excellent beer and great food.
