| Went to enjoy a lovely meal last night at the Black Rabbit due to its beautiful setting. Shame the staff seemed to be very disinterested... especially when it wasn't busy! The food was acutally very tasty... but just not much of it for the money you pay. The chicken wings had very little chicken on them so dipping bones in blue cheese sauce was just delightful! Thank you for that! I had the gourmet burger and payed extra for bacon and blue cheese. You would think for an extra £1 you would at least get a rash of streaky bacon... but no... I had two little bits that were no longer than my little finger! £10.95 that cost! Perfect restaurant for anyone who enjoys a thrill of getting robbed! I left the bacon out to show the staff... but no one came over to ask if our meal was ok.... the staff were to busy cleaning shelves... unless they were looking for my bacon that they charged me for? ... I did try to make eye contact with the five people that walked past me... but the ceiling appeared more interesting! I know its only a £1 so I left in the end, leaving the plates on the table as no-one cleared the table and offered dessert. Guess you would probably get half a scoop of ice cream if your lucky. Arundel is beautiful... must see... but only use this pub if you want a pint outside away from the staff. If your hungry go into town! I was going to speak to the manager about the staff and lack of food for money... but judging by other reviews the manager never responds so probably best just not to go there.
