| This was the first visit for any of our party (6 adults). The staff were pleasant, but we were very dissapointed with the menu choices (this was a Sunday so maybe they have a better choice in the week). Two had roast pork which was very dry and one person asked for no gravy and her pork was hard as well as dry. The fish pie was very small and half of that was potato (which was burnt on the top) and at nearly £13 was definitely not value for money, I've had a better fish pie from M&S. When the waiter eventually came to clear away, he asked if everything had been ok. We complained about the pork, he didn't answer and just went away. The waitress then came along to clear away the rest of the plates. We wouldn't recommend this restaurant.[Report for Removal] | Carol Bristol South Glos. |

| WE have used the Crown and Victoria for many small celebrations and when visitors arrive, over the last 6 years. We have NEVER had a bad meal and we are quite fussy about standards and presentation. The staff are always polite and friendly, sometimes too chatty, and alterations to the menu are always performed(eg.no mint sauce or picher of tap water please).Long may it stay 'a cut above the others'.[Report for Removal] | N M Cummins Long Load Somerset |

| I have been to this pub for many years, and during this time there have been several changes of ownership. I have always had a thoroughly enjoyable experience! But on 26/02/06 Myself, husband and young son joined a party of 9 adults & 4 other children. The food and young waitresses were wonderful, but the landlord/lady were absolutly disgraceful. On arrival they made it quite clear that our children were not welcome!(they knew at booking we had children) Our Children were very well behaved. The Landlord swore at one child which was totally uncalled for. The father who serves in the Met Police pointed this out to the Landlord who then became even more abusive, and accused the party of instigated this as not to pay!! we settled the bill, he still persisted in verbal abuse, the Landlady then phoned the police and locked the adults inside, leaving the children outside without their parents. They then wondered why we became agitated!!! resulting in two arrests from our party. I would not recommend anyone to visit this pub, but it does make me wonder if they have an alterior motive, as I have since heard they have been rude to many more customers!!!!Do they want the pub to close? possible planning permission!!!! p.s please check your bills also[Report for Removal] | heather rowswell yeovil somerset |
