| The pub is easy to find, being a large and attractive building on the left hand side of Semington village High Street. It is conveniently situated very close to the Kennet and Avon canal too. We have visited the Somerset Arms several times over the past two months, for lunch and evening meals. The refurbishment is beautifully done and the overall atmosphere of the pub is very warm and welcoming with cheerful and enthusiastic staff. The food was very good quality with well sized portions. The pigeon breast salad (starter) and braised pork belly (main) were exceptional! On our last visit we stayed over in one of the newly refurbished bed and breakfast rooms - very comfortable and beautifully decorated, followed by a lovely breakfast. My husband reports that the ales, particularly Gem, are very much to his liking and well kept. Well deserving of a visit (or three!)[Report for Removal] | Anne Galton Stockbridge Hampshire |

| My boyfriend and I went for a meal at the Somerset Arms this evening (19/9/09) and unfortunately came away very disappointed. The decor and setting were lovely but other things let this pub down. We were not given bread at the beginning of the meal, unlike every other table, my boyfriends steak was not cooked in the way he had asked, they forgot my side salad, the "gourmet burger" was nice but nothing special. Overall, a limited menu, small portions and overpriced.[Report for Removal] | Vicky Whitehead Trowbridge Wiltshire |

| The Somerset Arms has recently reopened and has been updated in the most charming way. It is light and airy and has a comfortable, homely feel about it. The bar and decor are most attractive and they now serve excellent Bath Ales at very appealing prices. The restaurant opens on Friday 10th July, so we are booked in to give it a try. Gets my vote![Report for Removal] | Fran Barnes Calne Wiltshire |
