| Arriving at the Herons Nest Knowl we were impressed with the the pub. We had drinks and ordered a starter of Chicken liver Pate. I asked the waitress if I could have some butter, after five minuets my husband went to find the waitress who was standing at the bar chatting she had forgotten. It was another four minuets before we got the butter that was a total of eleven minuets that we had a starter that we couldnt eat till the butter arrived. For main we ordered Lamb steak with new potatoes green beans and mint gravy. The lamb was so tough it was inedible and the potatoes were hard in the centre. We left the meal and asked for a refund on the main meals. First we was offered complmentry tickets for another meal but if they cant get it right the first time? We were finally given our money back. We will not be going back again any time in the near future.[Report for Removal] | Mrs Kim Smith Birmingham england |

| The hotel was obviously understaffed and badly managed. We had to wait a very long time for food (on more than one occasion)from a very limited almost non existant menu. I cannot fault the bar and kitchen staff who were run off their feet. The only time we saw the manager was at closing time when we were asked to drink up and leave (The whole party were residents) I would at this moment in time reccomend this as a place to dine.[Report for Removal] | Ian Knott Doncaster South Yorkshire |
