| Since the 2006 comment this shelly farm now just know as the farm or barn has undergone a management changes and the service is excellent. you are rarley at the bar for a couple of minutes before getting served, the beer always tastes good and the people that go in there are friendly. | Shelley Barn/Farm, Monkspath, Solihull We've been using this pub almost weekly for around 3 years. We used to phone our meals orders through and our bills often exceeded £35.00 per visit. On our last visit we experienced a number of problems. Firstly they had no draft beer except for lager. Secondly they sold me snacks which were 2 months past their sell by date. A colleague ordered a hot meal. The chips were very overcooked. He complained only to be verbally abused by the landlord. He was told we were no longer welcome in the Pub. We phoned the pub later in the day to explain that his behaviour was over the top and that we planned take the matter further. He simply replied by calling my colleague a 'twat' (his words not mine). We were gob smacked by the events and never plan to visit the pub again. The Pub had no heating and there were merely a handful of customers in there. Regularly the glasses are dirty and often have lipstick stains on them. Over the past year we have steadily seen the number of customers drop and often wondered why? It wouldn't shock me if the place closed down as there are rarely any customers and the management are obnoxious. Don't touch the place. [Report for Removal] | John Birmingham West Midlands |
