It has seen a lot of water go under the bridge during the 150 years it has been in business. It is located in the Ironbridge Gorge, therefore benefiting from the tourism trade, from the many nearby museums

Well behaved children are always welcome, with a large range of food and drink available for them. The Brewery Inn has a pleasant lounge bar that seats up to 80 people. There is also an enclosed riverside patio area, easily seating 40 people, that is always popular in the summer. It provides outstanding views of the River Severn.

The Brewery Inn has friendly staff, who all hold a basic food hygiene certificate. All food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. The pub receives daily deliveries of fresh salad, vegetables, bread and fresh meat.

The river around the Coalport area is no place for the faint hearted with rock and boulder strewn banks, rapids, fords and deep gullies cut by very strong currents. This stretch holds long, lean, dark coloured Barbel that fight every inch of the way to your landing net. The rewards here are outstanding for anglers who take their time getting to know the many facets of this powerful, natural waterway. A wander along the stretch in mid-summer, when the river is low will show the very many variations in depth and contours of the riverbed.
