| A warm & friendly "proper pub" with a proper landlord (and landlady!). Have visited the pub a few times and found the real ales are consistantly good. Food & accomodation are also good. [Report for Removal] | Ed, Carol & Katie Purley Surrey |

| All anyone could wish for in a pub. Welcoming to all even four legged guests. In a beautiful area with so much to do and see from Railway trains to sheep, fields and deer watching. Very good food, and plenty of laughs with the landlord and lady. A great place for Skittles matches. or just sitting in the garden. Atmosphere and history, with a bit of a giggle thrown in.[Report for Removal] | Mira Whithouse Seaton DEVON |

| This is my local, and that's exactly what it is - a local! Everybody knows your name, as it says in the song and we all feel part of the family. Having said that, visitors are made to feel really welcome too (as you can see from Owen's review). A good selection of four real ales, including local brews, and a brilliant array of single-malt whiskies, both Scotch and Irish. Excellent food - just good, honest, well-cooked and nicely-served meals. My dog's made welcome, too, and for a pub on Exmoor that's got to be a good thing! I'm really so lucky to be living within walking distance of this pub.[Report for Removal] | Terry Chivers Minehead Somerset |

| A warm a friendly pub with a great landlord and lady. They have a great stock of drinks and made me feel like a local with in minutes. I only wish I lived in that area and wasn't passing through.[Report for Removal] | Owen Luck West Thamesmead London |
