| I would have to say that, i wished i drove past this pub , i went there with my family for lunch on a Saturday @12.00 and it was filthy , there must have a lock in the night before because there was cigarette butts over the floor they had not even clean away all the glasses . The icing on the cake for me was when my son wanted to use the toilet as he is 4 i went with him ,OMG it was disgusting we left straight away i did not let him use the toilet it was that bad, so god knows what the kitchen would be like . STAY AWAY !!!![Report for Removal] | Jordan Smith longfield kent |

| No other place like it, Sitting outside the lovly pub tucking into the best sunday roast i have every had whatching the cricket being played on the green oppersite. The service was out standing as was the hole day from the point we arrived to see the staff happy and the gent who I guess owns the place working so hard yet have time for everyone who walks and out of the place. This has got to be a winner and meopham is very likey as I do not live in the area but would like to just to have this good old fashion pub near by. | After hearing the Cricketers had changed hands and it's name to the Long Hop I paid a visit last week with my family. To my surprise the choice of drinks was amazing. Aspell cider and Peroni on draught, Adnams Bitter and Broadside as well as numerous strong european bottled beers that you'd only expect to find in London. A good start. We hadn't booked a table and despite the restaurant being busy we where promised a table and after one drink where seated(they made some space!). My wife is very fussy but enjoyed her lamb as did her sisters, my steak was cooked as I requested and very tender (I was told the meat is from Glovers)and my friend had a pasta dish that he thoroughly enjoyed. We even got a more expensive bottle of wine for the price of the bottle that had sold out. Service was friendly and we had a good night out that didn't break the bank. Unfortunatley I haven't managed to give up smoking since the ban but having a wide-screen television outside showing the sport made going out for a ciggarette less of a chore! I haven't been there since but will be planning my next visit soon. [Report for Removal] | Jeremy Aves Sevenoaks Kent |

| Dear Joan I am some what amazed that anyone would wait two hours for Sunday lunch! If I remember quite rightly you were waiting now longer then 1 hour from the point of sitting down to when your food was ready to be put on the table, which in my eye is still to long, You were all offered a drink of you choose on the house as we were very busy that day and all our food is freshly prepared and we did everything we could to put thing right. I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your trip to the long hop. [Report for Removal] | Boyd Collins Meopham Kent |

| Dear I Folowick, I am the owner of the long hop in Meopham and would like to comment on your review. First of all if this was the case that your soup was not to you liking I would like to apologise as every care is taken to make sure the food is to a very high standard which is why we are so busy and if you can remember back to the Sunday 19th August when you were sat with your family the pub was very busy. The staff are very good and would try their best to please everyone and make sure they have good time so to say what you did is really not fair. I would also like to point out that we are not a restaurant but a pub that does food and to mention that you have been in on a weekday but found your self sitting amongst rowdy 18 year olds can only tell me that this was not your first time in the long hop. Once again I apologise and next time you are in the area please pop in and make your self known to me and maybe we can have a drink and try to put things right. | Total shite! Food was cold. Soup came without bread and even after asking it never came! Waited for what seemed like an eternity for service - waitresses/staff didn't know their arse from their elbow. Shocking and would not recommend. Weekday evenings are not for the restaurant unless you want to sit amongst rowdy 18 year olds. Shame could be a nice pub with the right management.[Report for Removal] | I Folowick Gravesend Kent |
